Photography Competition: Pixel Hunt

Enthusiasment for framing the shots with curiosity and intellect of students

Preparation and having a right gear to capture any moment is not only difficult but also different that's why it is not everyone's cup of tea to represent emotions, stories any feelings through a photographs. Taking all these things in our mind the journalism department of JECRC University organized a photography event Pixel Hunt on 2nd March 2020.

Cheif Guest of the even was Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh In this event, he was the man of integrity, innovation and principal. 20 students were participating and had beautiful and sensational picture with different stories and meaning. Students had taken pictures from local areas some pictures were also from construction area and some were of monuments and for festival, students have also some pictures on daily basis like how water flows and they represent it important to save water.
Every pic has its own story or feeling so we had different ideas through these all picture. Before we get into how to improve your event photography, preparation logistics will save you stack of time management and it helps to identify critical flaws and errors.

At last 5 students were the finalist of this event Namit Bunkar at 5th position, Jalaj Kalra at 4th position.Priya Yadav stood 3rd and Daisy Sharma stood on 2nd position for this event. Manu Sharma was the winner of the event whose picture was of a bird and the caption of his picture was "Not only the thirsty seek the water, The water as well seeks the thirsty".
Photography is always important because it allows people to see the world from different points of opinion and views and the photographer don't need to share any words to explain his/her photograph because the photograph in itself has strong emotion and motion that the viewer can caught the feeling immediately. For some people may photography can be a hobby but the real photographer is only a person who sees it like their passion.

On Wednesday Prof. D.P. Mishra, Vice Chancellor of JECRC University attended a lecture at the JMC department of the University, during the lecture he talked about many things but his main focus was to teach students about LOVE and AFFECTION. He said common sense is a very basic thing. He said behind every happening there is reason. He defined the cause of creation is love and affection, he gave certain examples to prove it. He said a lion can be cruel to anyone but when it comes to his own Cub then he won’t eat him, and the reason behind it is Love and Affection.

If a lion will hunt the cuff of a buffalo then the buffalo will come to rescue her cuff, and again the Love and Affection is the reason. He said Emotion is the basic force to sustain creation. He also talked about Gandhi Ji, the power of Gandhi Ji was love and affection. He quoted a line “aaPrabudhta prem se aati hai prakram se nhi,” but at the same time he also said stay away from the Sugar coated bullshit, be careful.

He differentiated Shiksha and Vidya individually, according to him,
what we learn is Shiksha and when we implement that knowledge then it’s Vidya. He also advised two must read books for the students and these are:

1. Sanskriti ke chaar adhyay.  By Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.
2. Glimpse of the World.  By Jawahar Lal Nehru

He quoted a line, “The time you’re becoming indisciplined you’re
harming yourself.” He gave the example of Earth, that Earth is very disciplined, if for a fraction of time Earth would stop rotating then the whole geological system will be imbalanced. According to him, the scientific cause of creation is because of the interaction of  the 3 elements and these are

 (i) Matter, (ii) Energy and (iii) Consiousness.
