MY FIRST INTERACTION IN JU

No matter how many people you meet everyday or places you visit but that first interaction with them is a moment we all remember with whatever reasons, right?

So, when you're in school you don't really get to meet with the outside world other than those you already know and when you step out and go to a new place after completing your school, the very first place that we possibly think of going to is a college.
Yes college!! I know it's a moment we all wait for, so did I. I was excited when I got admission in JU and was nervous too at the same time. Excited because I was so ready to meet new people and nervous because I was going to a complete strange place where I knew no one. You know the roller coaster of emotions, right?
I chose Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication which is an interesting and explorative course to go for. So far, I had heard that JU provides a good number of opportunities in this field and lets you explore so much more, and I was so down for it.
Everyone came to the university for the first time after the pandemic ended. The first person that I got to meet was my hostel warden. Yes, I was a hosteller in my first year of college. The warden was quite welcoming which was a good sign because someone who knows a hostel life also knows how important it is to maintain a good relationship with wardens to live peacefully. But before anything more I would love to let you know that the very first thing that I personally interacted with was the gorgeous JU campus and its warm climate. The buildings in the university were designed in old fashioned exposed brick walls which was very different from all the buildings l've seen before. It's the main attraction of JU as no other building nearby is designed in such manner. The university has large playgrounds and lawns which are filled with green trees and plants which lets you breathe fresh air.
Now coming to more people, the meeting with my classmates and the faculty members for the first time was quite special as after the pandemic it was our first interaction in person and everyone introduced themselves one by one which was fun. We all were hopeful and enthusiastic for the year and the year went the same. And now I'm a senior too which feels great!

FESTIVITIES AT JU

Festivals play an important role in college life. Colleges often have students from diverse backgrounds

and cultures. Festivals provide an opportunity for students to learn about and appreciate different

cultures, traditions, and beliefs. By celebrating festivals, students can promote diversity and inclusivity in

the college community. JU celebrates each festival with high energy and enthusiasm. A student who is

far away from his home can feel the glory of each festival at JU. The best thing about JU is all the

festivals that are organized and executed are student driven which makes it more fun, enjoyable and

astonishing. The biggest annual festival of JU is JU Rhythm which is a three days program where

different activities of technical, cultural, sports, Business and media are organized and participants all

over India come and show their presence and win exciting rewards. Celebrities and great personalities

come and interact with students. This time in JU Rhythm'23, the theme is Indian culture and art. It

signifies different colors and diversities we are having in India. The unique and identical art and heritage

of India add many beautiful stories to Indian history. Festivals bring people together and provide a sense

of belonging to the college community. They create a shared experience and a feeling of unity, which

can help students form friendships and social connections. Festivals often involve creative activities such

as decorating, designing, and performing. These activities can help students develop their creativity and

express themselves in new and exciting ways.College life can be stressful, and festivals can provide a

welcome break from academic pressures. They provide an opportunity for students to relax, have fun,

and recharge their batteries. JU is always best in providing students a platform to showcase their

extraordinary mind and implement their incredible thoughts. Each festival including Holi, Diwali, Makar

Sankranti, Independence day and many more are celebrated with nonstop fun and enjoyment. Many

festivals require planning, coordination, and teamwork. Participating in festival planning and

organization can help students to develop valuable organizational skills that are very useful in their

future careers.

In summary, festivals are an important part of college life that can promote diversity, build community,

foster creativity, provide a break from academics, and develop valuable organizational skills.

MY DAY IN JU

23 February 2023 the first day of RHYTHM is ceremonially opened in the presence of all the dignitaries of JECRC University along with highly esteemed chief guests such as the famous politician and actress Beena Kak bath and OG roadie Ranvijay. Here we got to understand more about the lives of such great personalities and their hard work to achieve so, getting to know more about these people and their struggle did bring out an enthuse and enlightenment in us youngsters which embarked a great beginning to the rhythm festivities.

This year, the theme was the incredible India which was beautifully portrayed in barricades and banners, The diversification and colourfulness in the youngsters were highly synonymous with the theme.

While entering the campus of JECRC University, one could find the colours imposing themselves on them with their brightness and their glorious appearances to beautify the campus and make the students look at them with awe, there were ancient paintings, various stalls and a lot of selfie points on the central Lawn.

While beginning your tour towards the science block one could see four teams playing live Ludo and the other teams playing snakes and ladder, one could easily visualise it as a game but these kinds of activities brought about a collaborative approach of a team in trust of their other companions. The sports festivities had already begun with cricket, football and basketball, with cricket having the best commentary.

The DJ war had begun at the concert stage where most of the students were seen grooving to the beats of young DJ stars. The food stalls had already been settled, serving their best food to the customers, I can assure you that till the end, the most visited place by anyone was the food stalls.

As the sun started to set the crowd started entering the premises, It was the time for the group dance performance, DJ round and the DJ night with the one and only TRAPPERX, people were seen in their best attires, selfie points were crowded, All the students were hyped up for dance, There was a lot of cheering and hooting, I met a lot of people, made new friends, met a lot of alumni, interacted with a lot of inspiratory personalities, in a gist, My day at JU was full of masti, Dosti and memories to cherish for long, long and a long time.
