 Books open the doors to the new world


Books open the doors to the new world. They not only enhance our knowledge but also develop our ability to think. Therefore people should read books. This is the motto of Kitaabshala. It is a group of students. The initiative for this was taken by the first year students. 




Its orientation took place in the central lawn of the university on 16 January 2020. The Kitaabshalais a group of students who will meet twice a month and talk about a book. During this time, the writing art, language style and presentation of the book, among others, will be discussed. In the event students presented their views. The program was conducted by Brijesh Kumar Mishra. About 30 students participated in the event.

A Thoughtful Initiative by Community Radio Stations to Help Farmers.


        JU Faculty attended Community Awareness Workshop


Radio is one of the most popular, affordable & a easily available medium in India which provides handful of information and entertainment at the same time. Recently, at Chandigarh Industrial Area, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting & Seeking Model Applications for Real Transformation (SMART) Organization held a Community Radio Awareness workshop from 6th to 8th January,2020.



JU’s faculty teacher Pandit Amandeep of Departmentof Journalism & Mass Communication also attended the event and was the part of the workshop. He was also the one & only participant from Rajasthan to be represent. The Director of community radio station, G.S. Kesarwani also guided and gave his suggestions. Komal Sharma, the moderator of the event beautifully organized and led the workshop. 

On the last day of the workshop participants were given a task to make their own imaginary community radio station like radio Sathi, SamajkiAwaz, Sehyog Radio, Radio for you and also talked about girl education, domestic violence, farmers and intoxication through their radio station.
