The Rhythm experience

Yeah! Such a long wait is finany going to be over. Hard work of 15-20 days are going to end. Finally JU

rhythm 2023 is here lots of excitement and enthusiasm. The boy who wakes up at 11 every day wakes

up at 6 today because the level of excitement is on high and nights will be rocking, with the dj war

between top dj’s. We are thrilled to dance with that amazing crowd and beats between warriors. But

wait wait wait....before that we will be going through many more activities in ju because rhythm is all

about teach, culture, sports and so much more!! The first day begins from a small interaction between

me and guard I guess guard was to serious about his profession and I respect it. After I entered in the

arena of activities firstly I saw robo rush which seem very dedicated all the participants wanted to top

and win price. Amazing shades of Indian culture and heritage witnessed at Jaipur

Standup comedian Rahul Dua left the audience laughing heartily on the second day of Rhythm’23

- Jaipur

The second day of Techno-Cultural- Business- Media Fest “Rhythm” 2023 organized by JECRC University

was also filled with high energy and enthusiasm of the participants. The main center of attraction on the

second day was the fashion show where the participants represented different states of the country

through their costumes and act . The participants displayed the glimpse of Indian culture and civilization

with their costumes and ornaments along with their confidence and body language. The fashion show

witnessed a beautiful amalgamation of Indian traditional wear which enthralled the audience.

Along with the fashion show, cultural events like Nukkad Natak, Solo Dance and Business events like

Band War we’re organized in which participants from different corners of the country showcased their

talent and try their best to impress the judges. Along with traditional, sports activities like football,

basketball, paint ball, online games like BGMI, Valorant and FIFA were also organized in which

participants compete against each other and stake their claim on the prize money on the second day of

Rhythm. This year School of Mass Communication launched a new vertical called “Media Mania” in JU

Rhythm’23 where participants were asked to showcase their talent by creating Reels, Blogs, Podcasts

and Vlogs.

The concluding part of the program saw the finale of the “Band War” in which bands from India and

MY FIRST INTERACTION IN JU

No matter how many people you meet everyday or places you visit but that first interaction with them is a moment we all remember with whatever reasons, right?

So, when you're in school you don't really get to meet with the outside world other than those you already know and when you step out and go to a new place after completing your school, the very first place that we possibly think of going to is a college.
Yes college!! I know it's a moment we all wait for, so did I. I was excited when I got admission in JU and was nervous too at the same time. Excited because I was so ready to meet new people and nervous because I was going to a complete strange place where I knew no one. You know the roller coaster of emotions, right?
I chose Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication which is an interesting and explorative course to go for. So far, I had heard that JU provides a good number of opportunities in this field and lets you explore so much more, and I was so down for it.
Everyone came to the university for the first time after the pandemic ended. The first person that I got to meet was my hostel warden. Yes, I was a hosteller in my first year of college. The warden was quite welcoming which was a good sign because someone who knows a hostel life also knows how important it is to maintain a good relationship with wardens to live peacefully. But before anything more I would love to let you know that the very first thing that I personally interacted with was the gorgeous JU campus and its warm climate. The buildings in the university were designed in old fashioned exposed brick walls which was very different from all the buildings l've seen before. It's the main attraction of JU as no other building nearby is designed in such manner. The university has large playgrounds and lawns which are filled with green trees and plants which lets you breathe fresh air.
Now coming to more people, the meeting with my classmates and the faculty members for the first time was quite special as after the pandemic it was our first interaction in person and everyone introduced themselves one by one which was fun. We all were hopeful and enthusiastic for the year and the year went the same. And now I'm a senior too which feels great!

FESTIVITIES AT JU

Festivals play an important role in college life. Colleges often have students from diverse backgrounds

and cultures. Festivals provide an opportunity for students to learn about and appreciate different

cultures, traditions, and beliefs. By celebrating festivals, students can promote diversity and inclusivity in

the college community. JU celebrates each festival with high energy and enthusiasm. A student who is

far away from his home can feel the glory of each festival at JU. The best thing about JU is all the

festivals that are organized and executed are student driven which makes it more fun, enjoyable and

astonishing. The biggest annual festival of JU is JU Rhythm which is a three days program where

different activities of technical, cultural, sports, Business and media are organized and participants all

over India come and show their presence and win exciting rewards. Celebrities and great personalities

come and interact with students. This time in JU Rhythm'23, the theme is Indian culture and art. It

signifies different colors and diversities we are having in India. The unique and identical art and heritage

of India add many beautiful stories to Indian history. Festivals bring people together and provide a sense

of belonging to the college community. They create a shared experience and a feeling of unity, which

can help students form friendships and social connections. Festivals often involve creative activities such

as decorating, designing, and performing. These activities can help students develop their creativity and

express themselves in new and exciting ways.College life can be stressful, and festivals can provide a

welcome break from academic pressures. They provide an opportunity for students to relax, have fun,

and recharge their batteries. JU is always best in providing students a platform to showcase their

extraordinary mind and implement their incredible thoughts. Each festival including Holi, Diwali, Makar

Sankranti, Independence day and many more are celebrated with nonstop fun and enjoyment. Many

festivals require planning, coordination, and teamwork. Participating in festival planning and

organization can help students to develop valuable organizational skills that are very useful in their

future careers.

In summary, festivals are an important part of college life that can promote diversity, build community,

foster creativity, provide a break from academics, and develop valuable organizational skills.

MY DAY IN JU

23 February 2023 the first day of RHYTHM is ceremonially opened in the presence of all the dignitaries of JECRC University along with highly esteemed chief guests such as the famous politician and actress Beena Kak bath and OG roadie Ranvijay. Here we got to understand more about the lives of such great personalities and their hard work to achieve so, getting to know more about these people and their struggle did bring out an enthuse and enlightenment in us youngsters which embarked a great beginning to the rhythm festivities.

This year, the theme was the incredible India which was beautifully portrayed in barricades and banners, The diversification and colourfulness in the youngsters were highly synonymous with the theme.

While entering the campus of JECRC University, one could find the colours imposing themselves on them with their brightness and their glorious appearances to beautify the campus and make the students look at them with awe, there were ancient paintings, various stalls and a lot of selfie points on the central Lawn.

While beginning your tour towards the science block one could see four teams playing live Ludo and the other teams playing snakes and ladder, one could easily visualise it as a game but these kinds of activities brought about a collaborative approach of a team in trust of their other companions. The sports festivities had already begun with cricket, football and basketball, with cricket having the best commentary.

The DJ war had begun at the concert stage where most of the students were seen grooving to the beats of young DJ stars. The food stalls had already been settled, serving their best food to the customers, I can assure you that till the end, the most visited place by anyone was the food stalls.

As the sun started to set the crowd started entering the premises, It was the time for the group dance performance, DJ round and the DJ night with the one and only TRAPPERX, people were seen in their best attires, selfie points were crowded, All the students were hyped up for dance, There was a lot of cheering and hooting, I met a lot of people, made new friends, met a lot of alumni, interacted with a lot of inspiratory personalities, in a gist, My day at JU was full of masti, Dosti and memories to cherish for long, long and a long time.

Semi – Social

The semi in the title has been reflectively used to emphasize the status and purpose of social. People today stick to social life so much that their LIFE revolves around it.

Free and Accessible internet facilities, knowledge of different things and most of all an overpowering urge to be the part of the social community that surrounds us has made all the difference. We as the part of a generation that’s much exposed to situations and circumstances tend to rely on this social community that we find around us for comfort and love.

This process in itself is problematic for the fact that we surrender ourselves to this community and seek the validation for our genuine self which is much more than what it is perceived as in this social space. Many a times we end up with good people and more often with those who become the cause of succeeding social anxiety. Ironically enough, to overcome the social anxiety we place our hopes on socializing.

The life that we are living is full of people and of course technology which makes this social community a reality in the first place. But there’s something about this whole idea of socializing which makes it a questionable concept. Why so?

This social community for the very first thing that it does is, that it provides us with people who surprisingly are extremely supportive and understanding of everything that we share. Life looks easier and fulfilling when we have people who listen to us irrespective of the time on the clock. This indulges us evermore in this vicious dependence cycle and creates a distance in our relatively un Social, physical life that exists outside the electronic devices. Interestingly, we create this distance for ourselves as we find acceptance, independence and satisfactory embracing of our personality which we find dwindling in the physical world.

Secondly, the wholesomeness of this community is subject to question because it conceals from you the real deal and presents to us a Social Image. Mostly the people we socialize with are the ones who are known to us but we sometimes fail to notice the difference in the personality and the way they react to stuff. And for those who are unknown to us in the real world, we are aware of only their social image that they maintain specifically for the socializing purpose. The real self of these people may be or may not be the same as we experience during the process of sharing and receiving. As for a matter of fact, Social Images make you survive in the social community as they are according to the need of that society.

Last but certainly the most important argument being that like any society or community that we are a part of this Social Community too has its own dictates, rules and gives us a mould to shape our person accordingly. An interesting fact here is that we choose this social community over the physical ones and surrender to all its dictionary (meanings and explanations), mandates and colors willingly. And this is done just with the sole purpose of criticising the existing community for all its flaws (which are certainly more than the good) and forgetting to appreciate the refinements of it because it does not feel adequate for the present times. This willing surrender to the social community deeply affects and many a times regulates our relationships. It makes us an eternal captive of the web of social society.

The Social Dilemma that we experience makes us evermore dependent upon the Semi – Social Community. A community which is certainly not wholesome and completely comforting as it too gives us reasons to be sad. A very common example being, the FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) in anything, anytime, anywhere. The challenge here is nothing but a nuanced perception that differs for everyone. We just need to make our peace with the fact that, although socializing is fulfilling and satisfying but it is certainly not something that we can totally depend upon for our Happiness and Comfort.

Pay in Black

“Sir, if you are coming to finalize the deal I can pick you up from the university”, Anil said, barely able to conceal his excitement of clinching a property deal.

“But let me see it one final time today again. Can you ask Santoshji to be there? Also, tell me if society patta can be transferred in my name?” I interjected.

Hardly a minute had passed when my phone rang again. “I have Santoshji on a conference call. Talk to him. He will take you around in the villa and answer all your queries”, it was Anil on the line again.

“Santoshji, can you show me around explaining the features of wardrobes, kitchen, water tanker, and water supply as well. Also, tell me if you can transfer the patta”, I asked Santosh, the developer, matter-of-factly.

“I will get you the registry. Patta cannot be transferred”, he said emphasizing on the registry. “Will you have 90B?” I inquired.

“90B is 90A now. We don’t have it”. 90A certifies transfer of agricultural land to residential use. “I can stretch my budget to 25 at the most,” I blurted out seeking a bargain.

“You can take a loan. You will get it at 8 percent from Can Fin, a subsidiary of Canara Bank. I have spoken to the bank”, he sounded more confident this time not in a mood to allow a cut of 7 lakhs.

Anil picked me up from the foot of the over a bridge near Jeevanrekha hospital.  By the time we reached the villas, Santosh and his partner were already there.

The four villas looked freshly painted, joined by common walls. Santosh had connected one of the villas from an electric pole outside. “We will give you wardrobes, modular kitchen, a television point, and electric fittings”, he said, leading me into the first villa. “We are giving you two washrooms – one Indian style and one western-style”, he said peering into a 2x6 dark structure on his left where there was no toilet sheet and tap points jutted out of the walls. The Indian-style toilet located on its opposite side was even smaller.

“Where will I get water from?” I asked, looking around the vacant plots, a patch of green, and a few scattered houses, villas, and bungalows.

“You can get this tank filled either by a water tanker or take a connection from a bore well if a farmer is ready to connect your villa to a water tank”, Santosh said, lifting the cover of a water tank in the parking space. “This can store 4500 liters to 5000 liters of water. Half of it is still filled”, he said pointing at the water which looked black in the absence of light.

“I will fix a glass on the balcony parapet and a horizontal fiber decoration on its left. I have built it with a lot of care. Look, I have tiled both the roofs. I will provide a plastic water tank each on the first and second floors” Santosh said, following me on an iron staircase to the second floor.

“There are a couple of temples nearby and there are also shops on the road”, he added pointing out to his left and right.

“Let’s sit in your office”, I offered.

“Bring four tea”, Santosh ordered while getting into a couch in his office.

“I don’t take tea”, I said, placing myself into a chair.

“Take coffee then”.

“I don’t take that either. How much will I have to pay for registration and other things”, I said, veering the conversation in another direction.

“You will have to pay 80 thousand if we go for a registry of 10 lakh. The rest you can pay in cash”, Santosh said, his tone reflecting righteousness.

“I would rather pay the entire price through a cheque”, I protested, the Gandhi in me preaching against dishonesty.

“You will have to pay us some cash. Otherwise, we will have to pay GST to the government”, he argued.

“Haven’t all property transactions become cash-free after the introduction of GST and RERA?” I asked.

“No. You can pay through cheque for a JDA-approved flat. But not for a villa. Here you will have to pay part of the price in cash”, he declared his tone reflecting firmness.

Independence for Change.

Things changed, rules made, it started since then,
the country turned unsafe for all countrymen.
.
.

Where our policy failed?
In lieu of uniting, we are dividing ourselves !
.
.

We don't follow laws, we don't worry for each other,
We rather blame one another instead of standing together.
.
.

Question yourself,
Are we really independent?
.

The harsh reality will hit you harder,
Because we don't have the feeling to harbour.
.
.

Reality comes from issues that are left out in cold,
But the people, truth, and even statement of justice are sold.
.
.

Each one of us is beating around the bush,
Rather than bringing a change, everyone is shush.
.
.

Question yourself again,
Can we bring a change? Or are we willing to change?
.
.

The answer will be straight, bring a change in yourself,
Wake up and work on, to be in everyone’s bookshelf;
.
Let's join our hands and clear our vision,
Let's match the rhythm of our steps,
And celebrate the Independence with a change.
.

Happy Independence Day to Everyone!!

A Love That Heals

Rahul and Shree have been married for the last 10 years, and they’ve known each other for 13 years. Today is their anniversary they both love each other very much. They were having dinner, and Rahul got up to pay the bill, but he forgets his phone on the table. A notification appeared on his phone, and Shree picked it up. It was a notification from Google Photos which read, ‘Your favorite photo from 15 years ago.’ Shree was shocked to find her photo in it. In the photo, Shree was on a train and in one of them was written, ‘The first day in Jaipur, and found my love already.’ She was confused, why she can’t remember anything and starts questioning, if is she really knows her partner well.

*************************************

It was her first day in Jaipur. She had never left her home alone there was always someone from their house to see her. But this time, she was alone. Due to the pandemic and short-term notice, she had to leave as early as possible. She took the risk of going alone, and she was happy about her decision. It was her college hostel where she was to spent her future 3 years. She was ready for the best moments of her life but not for the worst ones.

*************************************

Whereas, he already lost everybody in his life. Money is the only thing left in his life, everything else was gone. He made a promise to himself that whomsoever he happens to meet first, will be his partner for all his life, not caring about whatever comes. He was ready for the worst but not for the best. He meets her on the train to Jaipur and took some photos of her without her knowledge. He followed her and came to know about the college. He joined the same college as hers.

************************************

He loves her and has never lied to her, but now it felt as if he should not tell her the truth this time. If he would have told her the truth, she would have been devastated. He said, “It is not clicked by me. I found it in Riya’s phone, and I just saved it, thinking it will be useful someday." She believed him. They both hugged each other and felt the spark they felt the very first time.

In the beginning, Rahul wanted to destroy Shree’s life, whom he blamed foreign for Riya’s loss. Riya was an orphan so, there was no case filed, and she only had the two of them. Rahul wanted revenge for his lost lover. Is there any bigger punishment for someone than to live their whole life in a lie? Rahul did not know that he was healed with the time, and he had fallen in love with Shree.

Is our respect real ?

India to honor martyrs, 559 lamps lit in Ladakh. Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed in honor of the war heroes. The operation, dubbed 'Operation Vijay', conducted on July 26, 1999, saw the Indian Army take back control of key posts in Ladakh after ousting Pakistani troops from the area.
India celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26 when after more than 60 days of armed conflict at the height of Kargil in Ladakh India won over Pakistan. In what was perhaps the most recent example of high-altitude warfare in mountainous terrain, the Indian Army outnumbered the neighboring country's military forces and regained control of high posts in the region.
.
.

.
.
I wonder if the sacrifice of our patriots who lost their lives for our better future was so easy to forget that now, we most of the times are ashamed of our mother land, that we don't stand up while our National Anthem is sung or we don't care to know about our culture? I wonder and wonder and hope that someday I won't wonder this ever again and will stand united in every moment that India owns with my countrymen with same respect, dignity and pride for my nation.
.
.
“I won't die in an accident or die of any disease. I will go down in glory. Kargil Vijay Diwas, a day to remember the gallant efforts and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. Freedom in mind.”- Indian Soldiers
.
Let us all pray for all those who sacrificed their lives for ‘Bharat Maa’ , and their families who handled the situation with calmness and peacefully and salute to those mothers who are always ready to sacrifice their happiness just for sake of other families' peace and happiness.
.
.
SALUTE TO ALL THE SOILDERS, THEIR FAMILIES, THEIR BRAVERY AND THEIR STRENGTH!!

Unceasing Journey.

Faithful friends are hard to come by,
To say them are the hardest goodbye;
Journey with them is without an end,
While confronting feelings, one can't pretend.
.
.

Judging is never a thing they do,
Standing beside your shoulder when you look to,
May in distance yet never apart from heart,
Fighting behind you for your every start.
.
.

For me, the person is ace in the hole,
That creature is the best part of my soul,
The greatest gift of life is true friendship,
If you have one, can face all life’s hardship.
.
.
This person will stick and stand by you,
Consistently encouraging you,
Such a friendship is rare,
You are lucky and do need to care.

Joker not a Joke !

Irony in the Reality is that,
Joker makes you laugh, though!
But In Actual Game (life) it is always,
Put aside in the packed box!(is it so?)
We Being a JOKER for someone somewhere,
End up lacking to be an ACE Everywhere!
So is it good to be a joker?
With an ACE you can WIN the game,
But,
With a JOKER you can CHANGE the game!
(Go search about joker’s Role in poker!)
Be a Joker, But never be a Joke!
Like,
Be in Friendship, But never demand in it!
